StarProxy connection setup
Residential, unlimited, static ISP and datacenter all run through the same gateway. Start with where your connection details are and how options work. If a connection fails, follow the checklist at the bottom.
Steps
1
Sign up
Pick a username and a password and the account is ready. There is no email field. Each IP address can hold up to 3 accounts.
2
Top up
Send crypto in the payment window to fill your USD balance. The minimum top-up is $25, and the balance never expires.
3
Buy a plan
Spend the balance on the product you need. Until the network connects it, the order status reads activating.
4
Enter details
Copy the host, port, proxy username and proxy password from the dashboard into your tool. To pick a country or city, or to keep one IP, add options to the username.
What do I need to connect?
A host, a port, a username and a password. The host is gate.starproxy.shop. The port is 6100 for HTTP and HTTPS, 6200 for SOCKS5. Your proxy username is 10 characters starting with sp, for example spexample1. All four can be copied from the dashboard.
The proxy password is separate from the password you use to log in to the site. You can issue a new one in the dashboard at any time. After you do, put the new password into every tool that uses the proxy.
- Host
- gate.starproxy.shop
- HTTP, HTTPS port
- 6100
- SOCKS5 port
- 6200
- Sticky session
- Up to 60 minutes
How do username options work?
Add a hyphen, the option name and its value to the end of the username, one option after another. Example: spexample1-zone-res-cc-us-city-new_york-sid-job42a-ttl-30. Changing options does not change the proxy password.
| Option | What it does |
|---|---|
| -zone- | Selects the product. res is residential, unl is unlimited, isp is static ISP, dc is datacenter. |
| -cc- | Exit country, written as a lowercase two-letter code (us, jp and so on). |
| -city- | City, in lowercase with spaces turned into underscores (new_york). City targeting works in many countries. |
| -sid- | Session ID. Requests that send the same ID use the same IP. Any mix of letters and numbers works. |
| -ttl- | How long a sticky session keeps its IP, in minutes from 1 to 60. |
Build your username and copy the code
Choose options to see the username and a ready example in your language.
A new IP is used for every request.
This example uses a sample username. Your own username and password are in the dashboard.
Proxy username
spexample1-zone-res-cc-uscurl -x http://gate.starproxy.shop:6100 \ -U "spexample1-zone-res-cc-us:your_password" \ https://ipinfo.io/json
Example response
{ "ip": "203.0.113.134", "country": "US", "city": "New York" }Example response from an IP in United States, New York.
Rotating or sticky: which one do I need?
Without -sid, every request leaves from a different IP. That is the default. It suits scraping and rank checks where requests don't need to be linked.
For work that needs one IP across several steps, such as logging in and then opening pages behind the login, add -sid. Add -ttl as well to keep that IP for a set time, up to 60 minutes.
Can I connect without a password?
Yes. Add up to 10 server IPv4 addresses to the Allowed IPs list in the dashboard. Requests from those addresses are not asked for the proxy password.
How do I test the connection?
In a terminal, run curl -x http://USERNAME:PASSWORD@gate.starproxy.shop:6100 https://api.ipify.org with your own USERNAME and PASSWORD. The address printed is the IP that request used. Run it twice without -sid. If the IP changes, the connection works.
Where do I enter it in a browser or app?
In a browser, open the proxy settings or a proxy extension and fill in the host, port, username and password. For SOCKS5, set the proxy type to SOCKS5 and the port to 6200.
Scrapers, HTTP libraries and automation tools usually take one proxy URL, like http://username:password@gate.starproxy.shop:6100. Options go in the username part of that URL.

Connection problems: check these first
407 Proxy Authentication Required
The username or password doesn't match. Copy both again from the dashboard and check the options for spelling. If you issued a new password, replace the one saved in your tool.
Connection refused or timed out
Check that the host is gate.starproxy.shop and the port is correct: 6100 for HTTP and HTTPS, 6200 for SOCKS5. Make sure the protocol picked in your tool matches the port, and that a firewall isn't blocking outgoing connections.
I get an IP from another country
Check that -cc- is a lowercase two-letter code and that city names use underscores for spaces. Static ISP and datacenter IPs stay in the country you chose when you bought them.
The IP changes too often
Put a session ID in -sid- and the minutes to hold it in -ttl- (60 at most). Every request that should share an IP must send the same sid.
My order is stuck on activating
New orders show activating until the network connects them. If an order never activates, it is canceled and the full amount goes back to your balance.
